It's Throwback Thursday and today we're throwing you some great news. Jake Owen is joining Kenny Chesney at the Taste of Country Music Festival, June 10th-12th at the Hunter Mountain.

Wow,  Kenny and I look young in this picture. Well it was 15 years ago.

I meet Kenny (along with Tim McGraw) in 2000 when they were a part of the George Strait Country Music Festival in Buffalo.

I'm wearing a Tim McGraw shirt. Do you remember when Tim had a mustache?

After Tim's set, they saw a police horse and they wanted to see if they could ride it. Kenny asked the daughter of a sheriff’s deputy if he could ride his horse.

He rode away, ignoring orders to stop. 2 officers tried to remove him, and McGraw and his manager got involved. A minor scrum broke out and the lawmen suffered minor injuries.

Here's where it got interesting. Because the police officer sustained injures, according to NYS law, it's a felony, regardless of the extent.

They along with Tim's manger were arrested. Later all 3 were found innocent of wrongdoing although Kenny was charged with disorderly conduct. It was definitely a misunderstanding.

I'm sure they can smile about it now and it gave me a story that I'll never forget. I haven't worn that shirt since that day and I still have it.

I haven't meet Jake Owen yet but I'm looking forward to the chance too.  I'm sure nothing like that will happen with Kenny and Jake at this festival.....or will it. I guess we'll find out next year.

Don't miss out on this memorable event and the stories that you'll never forget. Get your tickets and camping below.
