Binghamton University students will be awarded degrees in commencement ceremonies starting May 15 on the Vestal campus.

University officials say more than 3,400 degrees will be conferred during ceremonies to be held at the Events Center.

Individual ceremonies will take place for each school and college at Binghamton University, along with the three divisions of Harpur College of Arts and Sciences.

Master's candidates will be recognized at the Graduate School ceremony, which will be held Friday afternoon.

Roads in the area around the campus on the Vestal Parkway may be congested over the weekend as friends and relatives of the graduating students attend the planned ceremonies.

Broome County restaurants and hotels will be busy accommodating out-of-town visitors.
