Another huge crowd turned out to see and participate in the Annual St Patrick's Parade in Binghamton today (Saturday).  The two-hour parade was held in sunny but chilly weather.

The big parade is held in early March. It generally is held early in the month to enable more participants to attend before they are committed to larger cities' parades.

The annual celebration is organized by the Hibernian Parade Committee and has grown over the years from a 20 to 30 minute parade to one that attracts groups like the Avalon String Band..

While the parade is the main attraction there are several other events that highlight the day as well.  A Mass is held at 11:30 AM and a celebration is held after the parade at Seton Catholic Central.  Numerous bars and pubs are hosting their own celebrations throughout the day as well.
