Christmas is on a Monday this year so we’ll have the weekend for last minute shopping, probably not a good idea unless its for batteries and food.

The New York Post unveiled the latest results of a survey that showed the average person says that they would not spend more than $50 on a gift this year.

Smaller gifts seem to be the way to go, I think the pressures of the holiday season is making Americans rethink the price value of a gift.

Even people with a larger surplus of cash are putting less of it on the table for holiday gifts.

I like to think of people during the holidays and show them my appreciation by giving them a gift, but I think we put a great deal of stress on ourselves by thinking people expect us to give them something.

We have heard all of our lives that it’s the thought that counts, so be thoughtful and don’t spend the whole year paying the price and the interest.
