Thomas Rhett has been lauded for his ability to mix different influences into his core country sound...but here's something we never saw coming.

At music industry mogul Clive Davis' annual pre-Grammys party Saturday (Jan. 27) night, Rhett posed for a picture with Offset, who's part of rap trio Migos—and the country star suggested he might like to collaborate on some music with the rapper.

"Two georgia boys hangin at the Clive Davis party.. #godawgs@offsetyrn @migos let’s write," Rhett captioned the photo, which he posted on Instagram, adding a praying-hands emoji. The two must have had some conversation that evening!

Country-rap collaborations can sometimes be a sparking point of debate for genre purists, but Rhett's fans responded largely positively to the photo, saying they would like to hear what these two might come up with together. Many offered excited comments such as "This would be fire," "Never knew I needed this until now," and "This needs to happen!"

Migos just released their third album, Culture II, on Friday (Jan. 26), and are nominated for Best Rap Album and Best Rap Performance at the 2018 Grammys Jan. 28. Rhett is up for Best Country Album, where he competes against Kenny Chesney, Chris Stapleton, Lady Antebellum, and Little Big Town.
