One man from Florida reached an amazing milestone - he just donated his 100th gallon of blood!

Bill Lundell is 56-years-old and has been donating blood regularly for the past 28 years. He says donating blood 26 times a year actually makes him healthier because it causes his body to recreate the blood, keeping his systems working strong.

But Bill also says he's also met little kids with cancer and has seen first hand how how valuable his donations are to them as they work through their illness.

The American Red Cross of the Southern Tier is always looking for people to donate blood. It only take a little bit of time and just one pint of blood donated by you can save up to THREE lives. Every two seconds, someone needs a blood transfusion. So, if you want to make a difference and save lives just like Bill has done, be sure to check out where you can donate blood in the Southern Tier area.
