This ad has been floating around the internet primarily on Facebook. This is an advertisement piece on display at Gander Mountain in Johnson City, NY. It's for Tactical Pants by 5.11 Tactical.

5.11 Tactical's website says: "5.11 Tactical offers superior tactical apparel and gear for law enforcement, first responders, tactical operators and recreational enthusiasts."

The pants are designed for comfort on long shifts, pocket space and a place for your weapon if you are a law enforcement officer.

Now with that being said, The original post on Facebook read: "Seems to show a man hunting another human. This is the same store that sold the guns used for the ACA killing spree." What I see is an undercover officer going into a situation where he needs to draw his weapon.

Just because this store sold the weapons legally to an awful man with evil intentions, it does not mean that we have the right to make up stories as we see fit to make them look bad and lose business. Last I checked, we normal people have no way of reading minds. If a man wants to buy a gun and passes all of NYS's background checks and waits out the waiting period, the sale is legitimate. Store representatives are not at the door with signs that are offering human hunting lessons.

If you have a problem with the advertisement, call and email 5.11 Tactical. Don't ban and bash a business that has poster of a male model wearing a 5.11 shirt, tactical pants and holding a rubber gun pretending to be an undercover officer.

We are getting a little too sensitive in my opinion. If you take something someone says or for this example a picture, at face value in it's context and are still offended, fine. Say something, but to make up a story that the dude in the ad is "hunting" another person is far fetched.

You don't see an innocent office worker in street clothes covered in blood hiding behind her desk, hands pressed together praying for her life as a man in a mask stalks her...  You see a advertisement for cop pants.

Just, stop and think.
