James Taylor is coming to the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena for a sold-out show. There are a couple of things to keep in mind for tonight.

Parking is usually an issue. It's only gotten worse since the closure of the Collier Street parking garage. It's been closed for months and now they are in the process of demolishing it. So not only can't you park there but the area is closed off to traffic.

Parking for tonight is available under Government Plaza. The entrance is on Isabell Street. Parking is only $4 per car.

So you will want to come early to the show. The good news is there is a lot of places that you can eat at within walking distance. My daughter, Tara recommends Binghamton Hots.

Also when you come to the show tonight, you'll need to know that all backpacks and bags bigger than 14 inches by 14 inches by 6 inches will be prohibited inside the Arena.

You are being encouraged to leave all backpacks in your car or home, to help speed up the process. Everyone entering the Arena will be subject to security screening and inspection of approved bags or other items that are carried in.

Director of Security James Dadamio says that they will have ample security staff to help with smooth entry into the building. He also asks that you arrive early so you can get through security and not miss any of the show.

Doors open at 6:30. The concert will begin promptly at 8:00 pm...so we've been told.
