Everyone loves a good fish fry and the Southern Tier is full of good ones, especially this time of the year with the arrival of Lent.  Sure there are the fast food fish fries and the grocery store fish fries are usually good, but when you want good fish that benefits people, there are some excellent options at nearby churches and VFW's. And that makes a win-win for your tummy and the organization you are supporting.

Here is a list of tried and true fish fries that I have tried over the years. Each one has their unique flavors and menus. Some come with some awesome sides like fresh coleslaw or homemade mac and cheese. Do what I do and try them all!  If you are observing Lent, you have from now thru March 24th.
