It may be the off season for the Ottawa and Binghamton Senators but they are certainly keeping busy. The Senators have recently signed or resigned five players. First the resigned:

Michael Kostka: He signed a one-year, two-way contract. It's a $800,000 in the NHL and $325,000 in the AHL. Last season, he appeared in 50 games with the B-Sens.

He had five goals and 29 assists with Binghamton. He was named to last season's AHL All-Star Classic. He played in 15 games for Ottawa.

Phil Varone: He signed a one-year, two-way contract. It's $700,000 in the NHL and $325,000 in the AHL. Last season, he played in 21 games with the B-Sens with six goals and 23 points.

He was recalled to Ottawa on April 9th and had one assist.

Max McCormick: It's a one-year two-way contract. It's $650,000 in the NHL and $72,500 in the AHL. He skated in 57 games for the B-Sens with career highs in goals (15) and assists (30).

He played 20 games with Ottawa with two goals and two assists.

Casey Bailey:    He also signs a one year, two way contract. This one has the biggest discrepancy between the AHL and NHL. It's $874,125 in the NHL nad $70,000 in the AHL. Talk about your motivation to play for Ottawa.

He played 30 games with the B-Sens with seven goals and 14 assists.

Now the newly signed:

Chad Nehring: He comes to us from the Hartford Wolf Pack. It's a one-year, two-way contract. It's $600,000 in the NHL and $125,000 in the AHL.

The 15th season for the Binghamton Senators promises to be a bright one. If you missed it, they just announced six guaranteed home games that you can put on your calendar right now. It includes opening night on Saturday, October 15th. It's a couple months away but it'll be here before you know it.
