People are addicted to their phones, but in case you think I'm wrong and need proof for yourself, walk down any street and see how many people aren’t even looking where they’re going. Their noses are in their phones and they can’t seem to pry their eyes away.

I'm not sure if this is a genius or completely ludicrous idea, but there's now a  Kickstarter campaign raising money for a fake phone … the “NoPhone.”

It's just a piece of plastic designed to look exactly like an iPhone. No screen. No buttons. No wires. Seriously.

The idea is that this thing will help you break your addiction because it doesn’t do anything. When you feel the need to reach for your phone, you reach for this. And since it doesn’t surf the web or deliver text messages, you get bored and put it back in your pocket.

Eventually, you stop thinking about even reaching for it. Or something like that.

The fundraiser has already raised over $20,000 which proves people will donate money to just about anything.
