Ah yes, the great toilet paper debate.  A debate which has raged on for years and years and now that we are spending more time together than most have in (literally) ages, the debate has once again reared its ugly head.

I have a family member who, whenever they visit, takes it upon themself to change the direction of the toilet paper from over to under whenever they pop into one of my bathrooms. I don't know if they do this on purpose to get under my skin or of it it's more of an absentminded maneuver, but either way, it drives me batty.

While my feelings about the way toilet paper should be hung (over, never under!) are unwavering, I’m absolutely not alone in my need for the paper to be over the roll of toilet paper.  In 2010 a company that just so happens to know a thing or two about toilet paper surveyed people to find out if they hang their toilet paper over or under and 72 percent of people said that the toilet paper should, in fact, go over the top of the roll.

Dr. Gilda Carle is a “relationship expert to the stars” and TV therapist and she says that “people who roll over are more dominant than those who roll under while the unders are more submissive." Oddly enough, I believe her assessment!

How about you?  Are you an over or an under toilet paper fan? Here's to hoping that everyone under your roof right now prefers their toilet paper to be hung the same way you do or things could get pretty interesting...
