Some of my fondest memories come from going to the zoo. Even at 26 years old I still get embarrassingly excited to go look at all the animals at the zoo. I love the giraffes, the elephants, and if a zoo has penguins, I go nuts. I always wanted to be part of the action of the zoo.

I was also always fascinated at how they name all the animals. Well, the Ross Park Zoo now need YOUR help in naming a brand new addition to their animal family.

The zoo welcomed a healthy prehensile-tailed porcupette male on February 3, 2018 and now they need your help naming the little guy.

The names that you can vote on are: Lorenzo, Romeo, Spike, and Tamale.

It has always been a dream of mine to name a pet or animal after one of my favorite foods, so I am pretty partial to Tamale.

The winning name will be revealed on Friday March 16th.
