The 16th Annual Broome Community College Giving Of The Toys

Today during common hour at 11am fifty student groups participated in the 16th annual Giving Of The Toys. An event to help fill in empty space under the less fortunate children of our area's Christmas trees.

Each student group collected money and bought presents for Toys For Tots that represented there area of curriculum. For example the baseball team brought a case of wiffle ball bats and balls. The children came and handed their gifts to Santa to be placed on the presentation table as the B.C.C. Choir sand Christmas carols and the public enjoyed hot chocolate and donuts in the gym. Broome Community College is about the community, and relies on the community for support. This is one of many of their functions to give back, and show appreciation for our local area.
