We've all heard of tennis elbow and runner's knee, but now there's a new affliction that's sweeping the nation. It's called "text neck" and a lot of us have it.

Experts calculate that 60 pounds is the amount of force exerted on our heads as we look down at our phone. That's a big difference from the 10 pounds of force we exert when our head is held straight up.

That means every time we look down to write a mini novel about what happened at work last week, we're essentially forcing our neck to carry the weight of four bowling balls. Yikes!

So, you might want to keep this in mind the next time you look down to stare at your screen. It's not just rude to bury you face in your phone, it's also killing your spine.
