10 Traditional Skills That Are on the Way Out
Back in the day we did stuff manually. We did have to look it up on the internet before hand or have a machine fix it.
Here are 10 traditional skills that are fading away:
- Reading a map.
- Using a compass.
- Knowing how to tie different knots.
- Darning socks (which means fixing holes in them). Most young people don't even know "darning" is a word.
- Looking something up in a book by using the index.
- Knowing how to format a letter.
- Knowing measurement conversions, like there are four quarts in a gallon.
- Spelling and grammar.
- Building a fire.
- Having good penmanship, because no one writes anything anymore.
