If your kid gets shot, you should probably take him to the hospital rather than turn to WebMD for help.  But I guess that would be using common sense.

It looks like a mom in Texas is going to be facing charges after she failed to immediately take her injured 14 year-old to the ER.

The kid was accidentally shot in the left thigh by a 24 year old guest during a game that went wrong.  Apparently, the shooting took place around 6:30pm on Tuesday, but it wasn’t until 2am Wednesday that the kid’s mom finally took him to the hospital for treatment.

Apparently the mom she spent the hours between the shooting and ER visit looking up “gunshot wound” on WebMD.

The shooter was arrested and charged with felony injury to a child-serious bodily injury, and the mom could potentially face a charge of felony injury to a child by omission.
