Tattoos have definitely become more mainstream and accepted these days, but there are still some places that don't dig ink. Namely, workplaces.

If you work in a creative environment, tattoos tend to be very accepted, but other places aren’t as welcoming of visible tats.

In fact, a new survey from Skinfo, says that 37% of hiring managers list tattoos as the third physical attribute that could stop them from hiring someone . Number one was bad breath and number two was piercings.

It's kind of crazy to think that in this day and age where 45 million people in the United States have at least one tattoo that 42% of people still think visible tattoos are inappropriate at work. The places where visible ink is most frowned upon are the head, neck, and face.

But there is a bright side- 73% of people say that they would hire someone with visible ink.

So, what industry has the highest percentage of tattooed staff? The military. The least? The government.
