I'll never forget when my parents took me college shopping to find the school that would be the perfect fit for me.  Before I transferred to a four year University, I wanted to make sure college was something I would like so I attended a community college. It turned out to be a great plan for me and my future.

One of the best ways to learn about a school is to visit the campus and speak with current students.

SUNY Broome's Open House and Alumni Reunion takes place Saturday April 23 in the SUNY Broome Ice Center.

It's a good opportunity to tour the campus and Student Village, check out financial aid and scholarship information and most importantly research what major may be of interest to you.  I always knew communication / media was for me but it's funny how most of my friends switched majors all the time.

If you do go to the Open House, you'll also get a chance to watch some athletic teams and find out what it takes to be a Hornet.

As my Dad would always say, it's the total college experience that makes you more employable. And it's so true.  I love my college days and will never forget the day I walked across that stage at SUNY Fredonia to accept by Bachelor of Science in Communications degree. All the hard work payed off and what a feeling it was.
