So, I still enjoy driving a manual shift vehicle. If it's a small car tho I tend to get in trouble with Johnny Law. The darn thing just feels like a go cart and I zoom all over the place. However automatic transmissions are taking over the auto world and the standard will soon become a thing of the past. So learn this now, here's some things that you shouldn't do in an automatic!

Don't flop that bad boy in neutral and coast downhill.  It doesn't really save gas,and new transmissions automatically cut fuel to the engine. see, it's dangerous, because you can't speed up if you need to, also so it's illegal in 15 states. Next, never go from drive to reverse without bringing your forward motion to a dead stop. It wears out your transmission because it's stopping the car instead of your foot on the brakes.same deal with Park position too friends.

Now back to the "N". Nn neutral at a stop light. If you sit there for 30 seconds, it saves you less than one cent in gas(that's known as a "Bit" as in shave and a haircut, 2 Bits). No "launching" your car by gassing it in neutral, and popping it into drive. You look like the biggest jerk on the planet and wears your tranny bands so fast you won't be able to say oops before your broke down. Bands are cheap, labor.... HAHAHAHAHAAAA
