When my son was just a baby he had a small teddy bear named "Mr. Bear" and Mr. Bear traveled with us whenever we went somewhere in the car. Mr. Bear wasn't allowed to go into places with us though- he had to stay in the car. One day we left Mr. Bear in the car and went into the store and when we returned, he wasn't sitting in John's car seat where we always left him.

My husband and I looked at each other with panic in our eyes. Had John grabbed Mr. Bear from the car seat without us knowing and dropped him in the parking lot? Was Mr. Bear stolen? We had to find Mr. Bear because to not look for him would mean we were letting our son down.

It took us about three minutes to realize that Mr. Bear somehow was tossed into the front seat rather than car seat and fell to the floor. Whew! Although John was so small that he probably wouldn't have missed Mr. Bear had he disappeared for good, we would have felt terrible.

One mom in Florida was in a somewhat similar predicament when her little girl accidently left her Tubby Bear at a park during a play date. The little girl was so upset that she sobbed non-stop and her mom decided right then and there that she had to do something. So, she posted flyers all around the neighborhood asking for help finding the tattered teddy bear.

And guess what? It worked! A seven-year-old saw the flyer and found the bear and had her mom return him to his owner!
