Newswatch 16 WNEP reporter Kristina Papa was covering the story in Bradford County June 1 and spoke to a nearby resident, Matthew Haverly, concerning the discovery of the body.  The 38 year old man appeared concerned as he told Papa on-camera, ”It’s sad to say that’s someone’s either daughter, mother or whatever.”  He also talked about how his 60 year old mother, Patricia Haverly, who lived nearby, would also be concerned.

A few hours after the piece aired, Matthew Haverly was arrested by Pennsylvania State Police and charged with homicide and abuse of a corpse.

An autopsy was scheduled to be performed on Patricia Haverly’s body June 1st.  The results have not been released.
