It's been a Southern Tier tradition for the last 22 years. It happens between Christmas and New Year's and high school basketball enthusiasts look forward to it every year. Some of the best local and national boys basketball come to one place. It's the Mirabito STOP-DWI Holiday Classic coming to the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena.  This years field has been announced.

Regional Division 1: Binghamton, Johnson City, Maine-Endwell and Fayetteville-Manlius.

Regional Division 2: Greene, Norwich, Seton Catholic Central and New York Mills High School.

National Division: Christ the King High School from New York City, Covington Holmes High School from Kentucky, The John Carroll School out Maryland, Long Island Lutheran High School from New York, New Rochelle High School from New York, Philadelphia Math, Civics & Sciences, Poly Prep School from Brooklyn and St. Michael's College School from Toronto, Ontario.

The 2013 Mirabito STOP-DWI Tournament will be held Dec 28-30th at the Broome County Veterans Memorial Arena. There is one change. The Three-Point and Dunk contests has been moved to the Arena from Binghamton High, where it had been held. That will be December 27th at 6:30pm.

The tournament is looking for Team Hosts to help offset the cost of hosting the tournament and educating the hundreds of athletes on the deadly consequences of drinking and driving. To sign up as a team host, contact the STOP-DWI office at 607-778-2056 or bcstopdwi@co.broome.ny.us.
