Want to get the most out of your workout? According to a new study, just one single minute of intense exercise (like sprinting) could very well pack in as many health benefits as say, 45 minutes of moderate exercise, such as jogging.

Researchers found that we get the biggest bang for our buck if we mix together one minute of sprinting with a light 9-minute workout. Let's break this down. Basically, what it means is that you can walk for four minutes, sprint for a minute, then jog for 5 minutes and save yourself an excruciating 45-minute treadmill workout.

I don't know about you, but I can't find any excuse not to give this a try. I mean, it's 10 minutes out of your day and you get the same benefit as if you worked out for 45 minutes.

Speaking of exercise, I know a lot of people like to workout with friends and if that's you, why not grab a group of friends and sign up for our Hot Cross Run on June 18 at Otsiningo Park in Binghamton? Hot Cross Run is a 15-minute Hot Yoga session, 15-minute Crossfit routine, and a two-mile run. Oh, and it also raises funds for the Southern Tier AIDS Program (STAP).
