Weddings are ridiculously expensive, and that now includes the engagement ring and wedding bands.

It used to be that the man would buy the ring and do the proposing, but times are definitely changing. Not only are some women taking the reigns and asking a guy for his hand in marriage, but they're also buying or helping to buy the ring.

Jewelers report a trend in newly engaged couples splitting the cost of the ring to make it more economically feasible for everyone. Most couples are still going through the engagement process the traditional way, but if you think your man has been dragging his feet to propose, it could be because he doesn't have the money to buy the ring he knows you want.

So, it's not a bad idea to keep in the back of your mind that if want a little bigger ring, helping to pay for it might be a good option.
