Speeding on I-81 Near Binghamton Leads to Jail

A Pennsylvania man was arrested after police say he was clocked at 108 miles per hour on Interstate 81 in Broome County.

Bob Joseph/WNBF News [file][/caption]Authorities say 20-year-old Timothy Naughton Jr. of Athens was charged with criminal possession of marijuana following the traffic stop in the Town of Barker.

According to state police, Naughton was arrested around 10:30 Tuesday morning.

Investigators say a trooper spotted a metal grinder with marijuana inside the car. They say a search of the vehicle turned up more than two ounces of marijuana.

Naughton was arraigned in Barker town court. He was sent to Broome County Jail on $500 bail.
