Southern Tier Firehouse Tour

It seems that at some point in their life, every little boy becomes obsessed with firemen. My husband comes from a family of firefighters and so it's really no surprise that our son, as young as he is, is enthralled with fire trucks and firehouses.

I believe in nurturing a child's interests because passion helps drive success. And, as John's mama, it's my job to foster his passion and help it grow so that someday, it might become something really real.

One day, John may join the likes of his grandpas, uncles and cousins and become a firefighter. Or maybe he'll be a fire investigator or maybe my boy will be the one who thinks up the next big tool to help firemen fight the flames.

Or maybe he'll become a lawyer. Or a teacher. Or a garbage collector.

But for now, John's interest is in fire trucks and firemen and Jay and I want to foster that interest as much as we can. This is why we would like to take John to visit as many Southern Tier fire departments as we can.
