New York Governor Andrew Cuomo is looking for clean energy business proposals in the area for a chance to land $20 million in state funding.

The 76West competition is modeled after a similar initiative in Western New York.

The Governor says the competition is designed to bring in new jobs and new economic opportunity through clean energy programs.

As a condition of the competition, winners will be located or move their operations to Allegany, Broome, Cattaraugus, Chautauqua, Chemung, Chenango, Delaware, Schuyler, Steuben, Tompkins or Tioga Counties.

Individual awards will range from $100,000 to $1 million.
