I'm getting to the point where I don't know what to eat and now with the latest findings from Men's Health, drink.  According to the magazine, some "natural" fruit juice beverages contain more sugar than soda. While juice is certainly better than soda, it still was an eye opener for me.

While a typical can of soda has between 26-31 grams of sugar, some of the popular juice brands contain about that or more.

Ocean Spray 100% Cranberry Juice is not 100% cranberry juice at all.  It turns out that is sweetened with grape and apple juice and 36 grams of sugar.

Tropicana Berry Punch may make you a bit punchy because with 29 grams of sugar, it only contains 5% fruit juice and the rest is high fructose corn syrup.  Yikes!

Minute Maid Enhanced Pomegranate Blueberry Juice may not have grape in the name but it's in the ingredients and so is 29 grams of sugar.

Welch's Essentials Pineapple Apple Juice Cocktail has 31 grams of sugar.

So what is a family to do?  Check ingredients, sugar content and just like everything else, consume in moderation.
