The Binghamton Bearcats men's basketball team announced that junior guard Yosef Yacob will miss the entire 2015-16 season with a shoulder injury.  Yosef will have surgery to repair a torn labrum.  He was projected to see plenty of playing time again this season as both a point guard and shooting guard for coach Tommy Dempsey's team.

Yacob started 15 games last season and 37 games over his two seasons at Binghamton University.  Last year Yacob averaged 5.8 points per game and played just under 23 minutes per game for the Bearcats.

That will leave the bulk of the point guard work to junior Marlon Beck.  Yacob will have two seasons of eligibility remaining.  The Bearcats open their 2015-16 season on Friday, November 6th with a home exhibition game against SUNY Cobleskill.
