Every parent who had to send their kids back to school knows how draining it is on the wallet. It seems that each year it gets more and more expensive to buy everything on the back-to-school list and for many families it's just not economically possible.

One Reddit user posted a photo of a hero crossing guard in her town who sets up a table on the first day of school every year, filled with school supplies free to any kid whose parent can't afford to send them to school with all the supplies they need. And get this- the crossing guard pays for all these supplies.

Studies have proven that it really is horrible for kids who have to start school without the required supplies. It can make them feel awkward and insecure, and that's without other kids noticing. So to this crossing guard, I tip my hat.
