Science Might Bring Back Woolly Mammoths Through Cloning
In May of last year, scientists made one of the most amazing prehistoric discoveries in recent history on a little island off the coast of Russia. Deep under the ice was a 40,000-year-old woolly mammoth with most of its body still intact.
South Korean scientists are heavily debating whether they should use the DNA of the animal to make a clone of a woolly mammoth. That's right- there's a chance that the woolly mammoth could once again roam the earth.
I know a bunch of people who would think this would be the coolest thing ever and even more amazing if dinosaurs could be revived, but am I the only one who saw 'Jurassic Park?' I think there are just some things you shouldn't mess around with and cloning giant creatures is one of them.
