Sam Hunt performed his latest single, "Body Like a Back Road," on the 2017 ACM Awards on Sunday night (April 2).

The pop-country singer-songwriter was clad all in black and wearing boots as he strode the stage comfortably, giving a laid-back but very entertaining performance of the new single, which he released in February as the lead single for his much-anticipated sophomore album.

The inimitable vocal style that differentiates Hunt from any other artist in country music was on full display, and at one point he took the opportunity to venture into the audience and sit down next to his embarrassed-looking fiancee, Hannah Lee Fowler, who was the inspiration behind many of the songs on his debut album, Montevallo. The couple have been through their ups and downs, and surprised Hunt's fans when they confirmed their engagement in early January, just a day after Hunt dropped a surprise new single titled "Drinkin' Too Much."

Hunt has not yet announced the details of his sophomore album, which is expected in 2017, but he will hit the road on his 13 in a 30 Tour in June, accompanied by Maren Morris, Chris Janson and Ryan Follese.

A headlining slot at the 2017 Taste of Country Music Festival is among the stops he will make on his 13 in a 30 Tour.
