Volunteer bell ringers can call (607) 722-2987 for information or to sign up.

Each year, families, businesses, churches, community groups, school teams and individuals help out.

Last year, the Salvation Army in the area was able to provide 200 families with Christmas gifts and meals.

People wishing to donate, aside from throwing some change in the kettles at local shopping centers, can go online to www.salvationarmyempirestate.org.
