Ryan Newman finishes 5th in Daytona 500 and That Means Bloomin’ Monday

The Daytona 500 has come and gone.  Overall I thought it was a good race with no major wrecks.  Danica Patrick had a good showing by finishing 8th, she was in the top 10 all day long. Jimmie Johnson won the Daytona 500 for the 2nd time.  Ryan Newman finished 5th.....that doesn't seem so special, except....It means it's another Bloomin' Monday.

It was a promotion that Outback Steakhouse started last year and they've decided to do it again this year.  When Ryan "Bloomin" Newman finishes in the top-10 of a Sprint Cup race, you can get a free Bloomin' Onion on the following Monday.  So that means today (2/25) you can get a free Bloomin' Onion with purchase.  You don't need a coupon or anything.  Just tell the waitress or waiter that Ryan finished in the top ten.  If you really want to sound like a fan, say you know he finished 5th and hope he does better next week in Phoenix.

Ryan said he was happy that Bloomin' Mondays are back. He had 15 top-10 finishes last year and he's off to a great start this year.  So good luck and may it be a Bloomin good season for Ryan.
