Round One of ACM New Artist Nominees Announced

One of country music's premiere award show is the Academy of Country Music Awards or the ACM's.  While the awards won't be handed out until April 19th, the semi-finalists have been announced today for one of the toughest categories:  the fan-voted, ACM New Artist of the Year.

Brett Eldredge, Tyler Farr, Sam Hunt, Chase Rice, Dan+Shay, Cole Swindell, and Thomas Rhett all made the cut.  See what I mean?  Tough category.  All these artists will compete for a spot among the final three nominees.

Fans can begin to vote at the end of the month, January 27th thru February 10th at VoteACM.com and VoteACM.CMT.com with the final round of voting running April 8 thru April 19th.   The winner will be determined combining fan votes with the professional ACM member votes.
