Roddy Chong Performing at NorthPointe Today at 10

How would you like to see someone who has played for Shania Twain, Trans-Siberian Orchestra and Celine Dion?

He's performed for the President of the United States, the Queen of England, the Pope and Oprah. This Sunday, he's coming to the Southern Tier and you can see him perform....and it's free!

This Sunday morning, Virtuoso violinist, Roddy Chong is coming to my church, NorthPointe. He will be performing and will be speaking.

Shania heard him perform and wanted Roddy to join her on tour. His response? You know I'm a Chinese man, right. Shania responded by telling him that doesn't matter. Roddy later would say "Who would have thought of a Chinese man in a country music band?"

He's much more then a musician, he has a story to tell and he loves to tell it. He talks about how it takes perseverance and dedication.

Roddy sees this as an opportunity to share his knowledge with people who may be facing their own hurdles, performance anxieties, or misguided perceptions about true potential.

We have the honor of having him at NorthPointe church this Sunday. He will perform and speak. I've offered to do a duet with him with my pink guitar but we want him to stay.

NorthPointe is located at 126 East Service Road in Hillcrest. It's near Nelson Ellis Furniture and My Uncle's Place. It begins at 10am. Get there early and once again, it's free.
