If you've got a little extra time and would like to help a good cause, this has your name all over it!

The Greater Binghamton Chamber of Commerce in partnership with GHS Federal Credit Union and the Binghamton Mets are hosting the 4th Annual Greater Binghamton Bridge Run on Sunday, May 4th to benefit Berkshire Farm Center & Services For Youth.

Since 1886, Berkshire Farm Center & Services for Youth has served more than 3,000 of New York State’s most traumatized and vulnerable children and families with prevention services, foster care, group homes, residential programing and workforce development so they can live safely, independently, and productively within their home communities.

Bridge Run organizers are looking for volunteers to serve as road marshals for more than 100 intersections along that half marathon and 5k courses. Road marshals will monitor traffic while the runners are on the course and will worth with Bridge Run race organizers and the Binghamton Police Department.

Road Marshals are needed from 7am to 11am when the course closes. An estimated 2,500 runners are expected to participate in this year's Bridge Run. Road marshals will receive assignments and hi-visibility shirts prior to race day.

If you're interested in being a road marshal, please contact Sue Kuhn, Bridge Run Volunteer Coordinator at 607-772-8863 ext. 322. You can also download a volunteer form here.
