If you're a Richie Evans fan, and most of us are, join the celebration today (9/11). "The Rapid Roman" will be remembered with a Star on the Watkins Glen Walk of Fame.

Evans, NASCAR's winningest Modified champion, will have his star unveiled today at noon in front of the Watkins Glen Post Office, located at 600 N. Franklin Street.

Several members of Richie's family will be on hand for the festivities.  Evans will join many of motorsports greatest heros, including last year's star of Rusty Wallace.

Tomorrow, the International Motor Racing Research Center (IMRRC) hosts a full day of slides, movies and guest speakers including drivers who raced during the storied Can Am era at Watkins Glen, which is known as "Thunder In The Glen."

It all starts tomorrow morning at 9:00am and continue throughout the day, which includes a model car show of Can Am racers.

The Can Am car driven by Vic Franzese will be on display at The Center.
