Retro Spotlight: An Interview With Mickey Gilley [AUDIO]
Thanks to my Dad, I am a huge fan of all types of Country music. near and dear to my heart is Classic Country. I guess it’s because I “grew up” with the legends.
I thought it would be fun to share conversations I have with some of the legends. Let’s start out with a guy that had 17 number one hits, my favorite being the tongue-in-cheek “Don’t The Girls All Get Prettier At Closing Time”. Mickey Gilley. He was instrumental in the “Urban Cowboy” craze spreading like it did.
Mickey is getting ready to hit the road on tour for the first time since a 2009 accident left his temporarily paralyzed. Hear the plans he has, his take on the iPhone, new music, and more. Give a listen!
