Don't get me wrong- I'm a huge fan of technology. What I'm not a fan of is taking jobs away from human beings and giving them to technology, which is exactly what a restaurant in China has done with state of the art robots.

Each and every human waitstaff member at 48-year-old Lu Dike's restaurant has been replaced by robots. And no surprise, Dike says the replacements will save him money by eliminating the need to pay employee wages.

Each robot comes with a price tag of $9,400 each and have a five-year warranty. They're each equipped with a sensor system that keeps the machine from running into walls and people and comes programmed with 40 Mandarin Chinese phrases, allowing them to both take orders from and respond to customers.

A rechargeable battery keeps the robots powered for up to eight hours.

I don't know about you, but this is a restaurant I'd avoid. I'd much rather have human interaction as well as support people who need the money to pay their bills.
