Rebecca Carmody Named America East Rookie of the Week

The Binghamton Bearcat women's basketball season is under way. After falling to Michigan. They rebound against NJIT for their 1st victory of the year.

Also congratulations go out to freshman guard Rebecca Carmody.

She's been honored as the America East Rookie of the Week after her showing at the University of Michigan. Carmody scored 17 points and grabbed 7 rebounds and led the team in assists with 5.

Tonight the Bearcats look to make it 2 wins in a row at Bucknell. You can hear the game on ESPN Radio 1360 beginning at 6:45.

The Bearcat men are also in action tonight at Cornell. That game can be heard on Newsradio 1290 at 5:45.

The teams will be back in town tomorrow and you can meet Rebecca from 7- 8 at Food & Fire, Harry L Drive in Johnson City when she appears as a guest on the Horizons Federal Credit Union Binghamton Basketball Radio Show.
