Real Housewives Star Teresa Guidice Faces 50 Years in Prision

Ah the hot, hot mess that is the Giudice family of the Real Housewives of New Jersey.

Joe and Teresa Guidice certainly don’t mind the camera in their faces when they’re pulling in the big bucks for it, but when they’re in trouble, they lash out at cameras being shoved at them.

The reason cameras were in Joe and Teresa’s faces is because they were in a New Jersey courthouse yesterday to surrender to federal authorities on 39 counts of fraud. Ouch!

If you follow The Real Housewives of New Jersey, you know what a complete mess the entire Giudice family is.Out of control children, a husband who refers to his wife in the most derogatory of terms, a brother and sister at blows and of course, financial issues that we all know exist even if Teresa wants us to believe don’t.

Joe and Teresa were indicted on Monday on bank and bankruptcy fraud charges as well as other counts, which is why there were in court yesterday.

Joe is also charged with failing to file tax returns from 2004 to 2008, when he allegedly earned almost a million bucks.

AND (yes, there’s more), Joe and Teresa are also accused of exaggerating their income while applying for loans before their show debuted in 2009, then hiding their fortunes in a bankruptcy filing after their first season aired.

Also Joe, who is not a U.S. citizen (how is it I've watched the show all these years and didn't know this?), could be deported back to Italy if convicted and will also be subjected to drug testing, but Teresa won’t. Both Teresa and Joe are scheduled to be arraigned August 14^th and face the possibility of 50 years each in prison.

Whatever happens to Joe and Teresa will happen.  But my hope is that through all of this, their kids will come out alright. They’re not the most well behaved kids in the world, but they are innocent to the actions of their parents and it’s sad that they have to be drug though all of this.
