It’s the final local race of the year! After having been delayed a week,  the Race of Champions at 5 Mile Point Speedway is finally happening and it all starts tonight (11/7)!

Grandstand Gates open at 5:15PM and there are some minor changes from last week.

Tonight at 7:05PM starts the Race of Champions Sportsman Tour Championship with it’s own 100 lap special. It’ll settle the Tour Championship for the RoC Sportsman teams.

The Racesaver 305 Sprint Car Nationals as well as a front wheel drive Four Cylinder event and Factory Stock open. They'll wrap up Friday night with a Post Race Bonfire on the Backstretch.

On Saturday, the daytime racing begins at 12:45 PM (gates open at 11AM) with the Race of Champions Street Stocks, Xcel 600 c.c. Modifieds, 4 Cylinders and IMCA Modifieds.

Then Saturday afternoon at 4PM, it’s the 45th edition of the Southern Tier 100 for Modifieds. This 100 lap event will settle the 2014 Race of Champions Dirt Modified Tour Championship and it’s certainly the highlight of the 2-day National Quarter Mile Dirt Track Championship Weekend.

The two most winning drivers in dirt Modified racing will compete for the RoC Dirt Modified Tour title. Stewart Friesen and Matt Sheppard will be battling it out. Friesen is the defending Race of Champions Tour Titlist.
