The retrial of Aaron Powell went to jury January 30.  He’s accused of brutally murdering Christina Powell and Mario Masciarelli in the early morning hours of March 22, 2013 in the woman’s home on Lisi Lane in the Town of Binghamton.

The original conviction was overturned due to conflict of interest involving one of the jurors who had worked in a local law firm on the Powells' divorce and custody cases.

Powell is charged with one count of first degree murder and two counts of second degree murder.

If convicted again, he could face up to life in prison.
