I don't know- maybe it's just me, but it feels like everyone is so quick to jump all over police officers these days. Every time I read or watch the news, I feel like I'm being slammed with negativity and hatred toward our police force. And that's not fair- it's not fair to not share both sides, the good and the bad. I think maybe it's time to start highlighting some of the positive stories of good things police officers are doing.

This is just one example of the many good things police officers do for people that isn't shared the way it should be.

14-year-old Juliana and her little brother, Fabian were crushed when their bikes were stolen. The kids rode them everywhere and they were exited to keep riding them during their summer break from school.

Officer Paul Haugh, a 10-year veteran with the Albuquerque Police Department knew how heartbroken the kids were because he'd seem them around the neighborhood on their bikes as he'd patrol and they'd always wave and say hi to him.

Officer Haugh didn’t just file a report that the bikes had been stolen. He actually took the kids to the store and had each of them pick out a new bike that he paid for himself. He also bought them heavy duty bolt locks to keep their new bikes safe.
