This is a love story that breaks my heart. This man has been a friend to 98.1 The Hawk for quite awhile now. He and his wife have a heart of gold. For example, I was getting ready to do a remote broadcast from Dunkin' Donuts when I experienced boombox failure. Bummer.

George Miller, a FEMA response team member and the man everyone turns to in a crisis, took off to Walmart and bought the radio station a new boombox. That's the kind of people he and his wife are. Giving and caring. George met Angel on the internet 15 years ago. He moved 680 miles from Grand Rapids, MI to be with her in Albany, NY. They now have 3 children and live in an old farm house in Pennsylvania.

Now they've found themselves in a bleak situation. The warm caring woman I met just a few months ago has fallen ill with Stage 4 Hodgkin's Lymphoma. Travel expenses, moving closer to the hospitalthat specializes in the treatment, child care expenses, and the cost of the treatment itself are just some of the hardships are they are about to face. George has been caring for Angel since her diagnosis a few weeks ago so as you can imagine money is quickly running out.

It's a nightmare for them to say the very least.  I feel like I just met her and it's crazy how fast it all happened. She lost hearing in her right ear and had a sore throat. They treated her for an ear infection but antibiotics didn't work and she lost her voice. A lump formed on her neck so they did CT and found several tumors. They removed her lympnodes for biopsy and found the stage 4. George and his wife Angel are waiting for bone marrow results to get a prognosis, but right now there telling them that she has a 50/50 shot.

It truly is amazing how fast your world can be turned upside down. George has hardly got 40 hours work in the whole month of December and they have to move.
Their beloved farm house is not safe, as the house is old and has mold problems. The doctors say she must keep away from that and be in a sterile, clean environment.
Since this has all happend, George and Angel have given away all their animals and have been selling or giving away everything.

I can't imagine how hard it must be to be the one in crisis when it's his job to help others in crisis. I would like to enlist your help to help them get Angel into a sterile environment. I don't ask for donations on the regular, but now I am.

If you can help George and Angel in any way please donate to their GoFundMe page.

Any amount helps. They really need it.
