Last call for the Philadelphia Flower Show, the nation's oldest horticultural show and largest indoor floral show on the planet.  More than 260,000 visitors come to the Pennsylvania Convention Center, including lots of visitors from the Southern Tier.  If you plan on going, Sunday is when it wraps up.

This year, the City of Brotherly Love pays tribute to 100 years of National Park Service and "Explore America," commemorating 408 of America's national treasures.

Last weekend, my good friend Lee Ann Taylor took in a full day of flowers and endless displays with rave reviews.  Here are some amazing observations from this year's Philadelphia Flower Show:

  • The train room is a mix of getting touch with your inner child and appreciating the terrific scenes of National Parks from across the country. A must see!
  • The butterfly room is a fun romp with the most delicate of creatures. They are happy to land on you and visit.
  • This year's theme is 100 Years of the Park Service. There are displays depicting everything from Independence Hall (considered a park!) to Mt. Rushmore and even Old Faithful.
  • Then there are the vendors that can help you turn your green space into a wonderland. Award winning flower displays are on display too.
  • It's a different kind of excursion, but one that will certainly bring out your green thumb.

The Philadelphia Flower Show is on today through Sunday.  Click HERE for hours, directions and more information!  Enjoy!
