Past Master’s Champions Coming To Dick’s Sporting Goods Open

With the Master's beginning today, the Dick's Sporting Goods Open has announced the first round of commitments to this year's event. It includes 3 past Master's Champions.

The 81 man field includes Master's Champions Craig Stadler (1982) Larry Mize (1987) and Mark O'Meara (1998).

Craig Stadler defeated Dan Pohl in the Master’s first one-hole playoff. Craig also won the 2003 B.C. Open at En-Joie. Craig joins his son Kevin in this year’s Master’s Field beginning today. In fact, they'll be the first father and son to play in the same Masters.

Larry holed a memorable chip shot to defeat Greg Norman on the 2nd playoff hole in 1987. Mark birdied holes #17 and 18 to win in 1998.

This is only the beginning as they anticipate that this will be one of the strongest fields on the Champions Tour this year. The Dick's Sporting Goods Open will be back at En-Joie Golf Course, August 11th-17th.
