Last week while I was driving home from work, I sat at a traffic light, and was admiring a memorial of what appeared to be members of a church who had served in the military.

I've always admired the architecture and the beautifully, groomed grounds of that church, and the memorial markers and American flags being proudly displayed made it even more stunning.

You won't believe what happened next.

All of a sudden, a family, with Dad pushing a baby stroller and Mom following closely behind, approached the church's lawn and proceeded to remove a flag from the memorial to hand to her child. The father appeared irritated and was saying something, but the mother fought back with her own words.

I was pretty upset at the sight and if I wasn't surrounded by traffic, I would have rolled my window down to say something.  How could someone not have more respect for a memorial and church's property?  The church proudly displayed these flags to honor members of the church that lost their lives.

Sure, the child probably wanted the flag but come on! This would have been a good life lesson for their child. I know I can't be the only one who feels this way about this. Why have so many people lost respect for others?

What do you think? Let me know in the poll below.
